ADA, wayfinding & interior signage

Interior signs that pass inspection the first time

ADA restroom and room identification, wayfinding, directories, and lobby branding — built to the California Building Code so your inspector signs off and your building actually makes sense to walk through.

Interior signage we produce

The required signs, the helpful signs, and the ones that make the space feel like your brand.

Required

ADA room & restroom signs

Raised characters and Grade 2 braille at the correct height, contrast, and mounting position — including the geometric restroom symbols California requires on the door itself.

Required

Exit & egress signage

Exit, stairwell, area of refuge, and evacuation signage that satisfies fire marshal review as well as accessibility rules.

Navigation

Wayfinding systems

Directional signs, floor and wing identifiers, and a consistent system so visitors get where they’re going without asking the front desk.

First impression

Lobby & reception signs

Dimensional letters, acrylic standoffs, and backlit logos on the wall people see first. Where your interior budget earns the most.

Multi-tenant

Directories & suite numbers

Building directories with changeable inserts plus matched suite numbering — built so a tenant turnover means swapping a strip, not the sign.

Environment

Wall & window graphics

Environmental graphics, frosted privacy vinyl for glass offices, mission statements, and branded wall murals.

Interior signage we’ve installed

Suite placards, directories and lobby branding across valley offices, clinics and campuses.

Why compliance is worth getting right

  • Grade 2 braille that is domed and spaced to spec — not printed to look like braille
  • Correct 60" centerline mounting on the latch side of the door
  • Non-glare finishes with the required 70% light-reflectance contrast
  • California Title 24 geometric restroom symbols, which federal ADA alone misses
  • Consistent sign families across an entire building or campus
  • Documentation you can hand an inspector or an accessibility auditor

How an interior package comes together

  1. Walk the spaceWe walk the floor plan with you, or work from your architectural set, and build a sign schedule room by room.
  2. Schedule & proofYou approve a message schedule — every sign, its exact wording, and where it mounts — before anything is made.
  3. FabricatePhotopolymer and acrylic components produced as a matched family so the whole building looks intentional.
  4. Install to codeMounted at the required heights and positions, ready for inspection.

Why local businesses call us first

One shop, one point of contact, from the first sketch to the last bolt. No subcontracting your project out and hoping it comes back right.

We design it, build it, and install it

Layout, fabrication, and installation all happen under one roof. That means one accountable team and no finger-pointing when a deadline is tight.

We deal with the city, you don’t

Every city writes its own sign ordinance, and we have pulled permits in more than a dozen of them — Temecula, Murrieta and Menifee weekly, but also Hemet, Perris, Riverside, Palm Desert and San Diego. We handle the submittal and the landlord approvals.

Franchise muscle, neighborhood service

Signarama is a 700+ location network, so we have national material buying power — but you’re dealing with the owner here in Temecula, not a call center.

Questions we get asked

Which signs actually have to be ADA compliant?

Signs identifying a permanent room or space — restrooms, stairs, exits, numbered rooms — need raised characters and braille. Purely directional signs and temporary signage have looser rules but still have contrast and font requirements. We sort this out when we build your sign schedule.

Isn’t California stricter than federal ADA?

Yes, and this is where projects get red-tagged. Title 24 adds requirements federal ADA doesn’t, most visibly the geometric symbols — a triangle, circle, or both — on restroom doors. Signs bought online from a national supplier frequently miss this.

What happens if my signage isn’t compliant?

Practically, a failed inspection and a delayed occupancy. Beyond that, California has an active accessibility-lawsuit environment and non-compliant signage is easy for a plaintiff to document. It’s a cheap thing to get right and an expensive thing to get wrong.

Can you match our brand colors and still be compliant?

Almost always. The constraints are contrast, finish, and character style — there’s real room inside those rules. We’ll show you where your palette works and where it needs adjusting.

We’re a tenant improvement on a deadline. How fast?

Typical interior packages run one to three weeks after the sign schedule is approved. No permit step for most interior signage, which makes it much faster than exterior work. Get us the floor plan early and we can be ready when the space is.
